Join PAROL MAKING CONTEST The highlight of our celebration is the PAROL MAKING CONTEST. What better way to celebrate Christmas than by making the symbol of this important occasion for Filipinos, the Parol. It is in this connection that the people behind Paskong Pasko 3 are initiating various activities for this year’s Christmas celebration to be memorable for all Filipinos in Thailand .
Contest Mechanics:
1. The contest is open to all Filipinos in Thailand whether individual or group who are interested to join.
2. Participants to the contest must submit their names to Bryan dela Cruz not later than the 25th of November, 2009
3. You can submit as many entries as you want.
4. The lantern or Parol must have a minimum height and width of .6 meters but not to exceed 1 meter
5. Recycled materials must be used and proper lighting must be added to enhance aesthetic presentation or visual effect
6. Entries should be at the Philippine embassy grounds at 10:00 a.m. on Dec. 6. Look for Bryan dela Cruz
7. Winners will be announced during the Paskong Pasko 3 celebration on December 6.
8. All entries must be newly created and must not have been published before.
Criteria for Judging:
- Creativity/craftsmanship 30%
- Proper use of recycled materials 30%
- Visual use of lights 20%
- Aesthetic impact/presentation 20%
Total 100 %
PRIZES:
- 1st Prize 5,000.00
- 2nd Prize 3,000.00
- 3rd Prize 2,000.00
