Though Filipinos may have the ability to assimilate and blend in wherever they may be, the desire to be among their kind and enjoy everything inherent in their blood never ceases.

UFT, a non-political and non-profit organization is the ultimate answer to this quest for ‘a sense of belonging’ for those living in Thailand.

Founded in Bangkok at the latter part of 2007, it was pioneered by a small but committed group of volunteers whose aims include fostering prestige, camaraderie, harmony and cooperation within the growing community of Filipinos in the country.

Starting of with only thirty (30) members, UFT has now grown to over 200 and still is growing at an amazing rate. The group is comprised of individuals, social clubs and associations of varied backgrounds. It has members from different sectors and industries such as entertainment, business, service and education to name a few.

This set-up differentiates UFT from the other known Filipino organizations in Thailand. UFT is the coming together of the community in Thailand. The Board sits a directorship of directly elected executive officers and heads or representatives of member organizations and institutions (see Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws). These combined forces no doubt will facilitate all kinds of reaching out efforts whether in providing assistance in times of need, preserving the Filipino heritage or simply creating fun for everyone.
